Questions
- Mixpost vs Postiz: which is better?
- It depends on how you want to pay. Mixpost Pro costs $299 once for all networks, with 1 year of updates. Postiz is free to self-host under AGPL-3.0, with no feature gates. Mixpost runs on PHP, MySQL and Redis. Postiz needs Postgres, Redis and Temporal. Both also sell hosted cloud plans from $29 a month, billed monthly.
- Is Mixpost free?
- Mixpost Lite is free and open source under the MIT license. It publishes only to Facebook Pages, X and Mastodon. To post to Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok or YouTube, you need Pro at $299 one-time, or a Cloud plan from $29 a month, billed monthly. Prices exclude VAT.
- Does Mixpost have a cloud version?
- Yes. Mixpost Cloud has four plans: Spark $29, Momentum $49, Business $79 and Agency $149 a month, billed monthly. Billed yearly, they cost $249 to $1,299 a year. The trial lasts 7 days and needs a card. The Engagement Inbox and Client Portal are still "coming soon" on Cloud.
- What happens when Mixpost Pro updates end?
- You keep the version you have. Pro and Enterprise include 1 year of updates and a perpetual fallback license. After that year, you must renew to get new versions and security fixes. Mixpost does not list the renewal price on its pricing page.
- What are the main Mixpost competitors?
- Postiz is its closest open source competitor. Buffer and Publer are hosted schedulers with free plans and low prices per channel or account. Vista Social is a larger agency suite with an inbox and review monitoring. Flekh covers video review and client approval before publishing.
