Questions

What is the best free Frame.io alternative?
Filestage has the largest free team allowance in this list. Filestage Free allows 1 active project, 5 new files a month, 10 team members and 2 GB. Ziflow Free allows 2 users and 2 GB. Frame.io also keeps its own free plan for 2 members. Flekh has no free plan, but its 14-day Pro trial needs no card.
Who are Frame.io's main competitors?
For video review, the main competitors are Wipster, Dropbox Replay, Filestage, Ziflow, PageProof and Vimeo. Wipster and Dropbox Replay do the closest job. Filestage, Ziflow and PageProof proof many file types, not only video. Flekh covers review and approval, then adds tasks and social publishing.
Frame.io vs Vimeo: which should I use?
Use Frame.io (by Adobe) for frame-accurate review inside Premiere. Use Vimeo if you also need video hosting and posting to social. Vimeo review links show time-coded comments and an Approved status. Full review link features need the Standard plan or higher.
Does Frame.io still work with DaVinci Resolve?
No. Frame.io's V4 guide says "DaVinci Resolve will not be supported in Frame.io V4." You can still import comments into Resolve as an EDL file. Frame.io moved all retail accounts to V4 by June 1, 2026. Dropbox Replay and Flekh both list DaVinci Resolve integrations.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Frame.io for agencies?
Yes. Flekh Essential costs $7 a seat a month, billed monthly, and clients never need a seat. Frame.io Pro costs $15 a member a month, billed monthly. Dropbox Replay costs $10 a user a month, billed yearly, but you also need a paid Dropbox plan.
